Job Summary: The Implementation Manager III leads and delivers complex client implementations, managing multiple projects and programs from initiation through completion. This role provides strategic leadership, drives project delivery excellence, and ensures alignment with both client and organizational objectives. The Implementation Manager III engages directly with clients and senior stakeholders, proactively resolves challenges, and fosters continuous improvement across the implementation lifecycle. You may be ideal if you have: • Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, healthcare, or related field. • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and programs. • Experience with technology implementations; familiarity with enterprise software platforms preferred. • Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent (CAPM, PMI-ACP, PMI-RMP, Six Sigma) and/or a Master’s degree in Business, Project Management, or related field. • Strong leadership abilities, including mentoring and guiding teams (IM I/II). • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively with executives, clients, and teams. • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills, connecting client needs to solution delivery. • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. • Effective multitasking, prioritization, and organizational skills. • Team-oriented mindset with a preference for collaborative environments. Responsibilities: Leadership • Leads direct implementation of complex client projects and programs, setting the standard for delivery excellence. • Exhibits vision, confidence, and poise in executive-level interactions and high-pressure situations. • Guides and mentors Implementation Managers I and II, as well as broader project teams, fostering collaboration, growth, and continuous improvement. Communication • Communicates complex concepts, project status, risks, and recommendations to executive audiences and clients with clarity and influence. • Proactively socializes project milestones, dependencies, and strategic updates to internal and external stakeholders. • Maintains strong client relationships throughout implementation, serving as the main point of contact for escalations and leading executive readouts that drive decision-making. Problem Solving & Decision Making • Synthesizes information across projects and stakeholders to solve problems, make strategic decisions, and drive client value. • Validates and aligns business and technical requirements with client and organizational objectives. • Provides consultative guidance on workflow design, data mapping, and solution delivery. Project Execution • Directly accountable for creation, accuracy, and timely usage of all implementation materials, including project plans, RAID logs, business requirements, test plans, and status reports. • Ensures business and technical requirements are completed accurately and timely for each client engagement. • Develops and reviews implementation plans to complement Statements of Work and strategic goals. • Delivers and oversees client training and services, ensuring readiness and quality. • Provides strategic oversight and hands-on support for UAT planning and execution, aligning testing activities with client workflows and requirements. • Monitors and adjusts project execution to ensure all client objectives are met, proactively resolving issues and adapting plans as needed. • Actively manages client delivery through close collaboration with delivery owners and ongoing oversight of JIRA for tracking, escalation, and resolution. Continuous Improvement • Champions feedback loops for implementation toolkit enhancements and leads cross-functional discussions with Growth and Client Success to identify and implement upstream and downstream improvements. • Conducts retrospectives and lessons learned sessions; shares best practices and drives adoption across the implementation team. • Up to 25% travel expected for this role. Accountabilities (Measures of Success) • Maintain stakeholder satisfaction of 90% or higher for all implementation projects. • Achieve timely completion of 95% of implementation milestones. • Ensure project go-live occurs within 15 days of projected date. • Design and implement at least two process improvement initiatives annually to enhance efficiency and client value. • Mentor and develop Implementation Managers I and II with measurable outcomes, such as positive upward feedback, promotion or capability readiness, and improved project KPIs on mentee-led engagements.
