The position offers growth, flexibility and a collaborative work environment. The role oversees the data operations team responsible for managing, processing, and analyzing data to support organizational decision-making. They ensure data quality, integrity, and security while optimizing workflows and implementing best practices. This role is to define, design, develop, implement, and maintain the data assets and infrastructure used across the enterprise. They lead the progress of data standards, integration and quality initiates, storage, integration, and performance of data stores both for application and analytics purposes. They direct research and development in support of business cases, proposed projects, and system requirements over the course of the software development lifecycle. They apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help CLA take advantage of its data assessment to maximize CLA’s analysis and insight capabilities. How you’ll create opportunities in this Manager of Data Operations role: • Strategy & Planning: Partner with business, technology, and product teams to define roadmaps that advance operational enablement, API reliability, and integration maturity across the firm. Lead the establishment and enforcement of standardized operational frameworks, including incident, request, change, and problem management workflows, with ServiceNow as the system of record. Define and govern standards for API security, lifecycle management, documentation, and support readiness. Review functional and technical documentation for new or changing applications to assess operational impact, workflow integration, and supportability. Act as a strategic advisor by identifying opportunities to improve automation, observability, and cross-platform process consistency at the enterprise level. • Enablement, Workflows & Deployment: Design, document, and maintain end-to-end operational workflows using ServiceNow, flowcharting, and process modeling tools to ensure consistent execution across teams. Develop and enforce standardized playbooks and runbooks for API operations, including deployment, incident response, escalation, rollback, and recovery procedures. Partner with application development and platform teams to define API contracts, integration patterns, operational acceptance criteria, and handoff requirements. Ensure that API and integration deployments comply with regulatory requirements, security policies, and industry best practices. Establish repeatable methodologies for release readiness, change management, and post-deployment validation, embedding controls and approvals directly into automated workflows. • Operational Management & Continuous Improvement: Oversee day-to-day operational support for APIs and integrations, including performance monitoring, incident resolution, and service-level management. Utilize ServiceNow to manage tickets, track operational metrics, and drive root cause analysis through problem management. Collaborate closely with Risk, Information Security, and Information Governance teams to ensure compliant access, auditability, and adherence to standardized processes. Lead and develop the Operations Enablement and API Operational Support team, setting clear expectations around workflow adherence, documentation quality, and service outcomes. Continuously refine playbooks, runbooks, and standardized processes to reduce operational risk, improve mean time to resolution, and scale support capabilities as the platform ecosystem grows. What you will need: 7 years of experience required Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree. Technical Competencies Proficiency in logical and physical database design using technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL. Experience with big data platforms, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Factory. Strong understanding of API development, system integrations, and ETL processes, including modern data‑movement and orchestration practices. Advanced fluency in SQL and SSIS for data querying, transformation, and pipeline development.
