Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems including chillers and boilers, while mentoring others and ensuring operational safety.
5+ years HVAC experience, union card holder, ability to pass background and drug screening, valid driver’s license, and preferred certifications.
Responsibilities: • Assisting in the installation and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems • Learning operation of facility/building systems • Performing routine maintenance tasks • Mentor and support other technicians as applicable • Gaining hands-on training and classroom education • Identifying operational concerns and facility damage • Performing basic maintenance, cleaning ducts, replacing refrigerant, and servicing various components of heaters and air conditioner • Experience with tear downs and installs of chillers • Experience with steam turbines • Centrifugal chiller/high tonnage experience • Air cooled/ water cooled, various compressors experience • Absorber and boiler knowledge • Operating a variety of hand and power tools needed for HVAC installation • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Union Card Holder – Plumber and Pipefitter Local • Ability to pass company hiring requirements for Motor Vehicle, Background Check and 10-panel Drug Screen • High School Diploma, GED required • Clear motor vehicle report and active license • 5 + years’ experience in general HVAC maintenance and chiller installation/service • Ability to be professional, courteous and pleasant with all clients • Ability to act independently as needed • Effective interpersonal skills to represent CKCT properly to customers and other outside contacts • Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people • Adaptable to the management style and process methods of teammates to achieve common goals. • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical and architectural blueprints, specifications and HVAC equipment submittal data • Black and/or Blue Seal Certification preferred • OEM certifications preferred
