Our Houston office (The Woodlands) Risk Assessment, Remediation, and Waste Group is seeking a highly motivated Senior Environmental Geologist or Engineer who is experienced in environmental consulting, developing client relationships, and developing project deliverables from start to finish. Responsibilities • Preparation of technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, and project specifications; • Coordinate and implement project permitting; • Interpretation/evaluation of environmental regulations; • Data compilation, reduction, and interpretation; • Management of clients; • Development of business opportunities; • Mentor staff; • Manage remediation and spill response projects; and • Assist with solid and hazardous waste permitting Qualifications: • Master or bachelor’s degree in Geology or Engineering; • Experience working as an environmental consultant with experience in soil and groundwater assessment, investigation, and remediation and with TCEQ’s Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP); • Commitment to obtain professional registration (P.G. or P.E.) within 1-2 years; • Project management experience; • Proficient technical writing skills; • Proficiency with MS Office programs; • Proficient mathematical and computer skills; • Experience with groundwater statistical analyses software e.g., Sanitas, a plus; • Experience with soil boring software e.g., LogPlot, a plus • Experience with AutoCAD, ESRI Arcview a plus; • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites out of area (approximately 25% travel, including some overnight stays) and work outside normal work schedule, as needed; • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and maintain successful client relationships; • Must be able to satisfy all Drug & Alcohol, Health & Safety, and Security requirements, including obtaining a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card; • This position requires use of a company vehicle. Candidate must be at least 21 years of age with a clean driving record, and able to safely operate a full-size pickup truck; and • Eager to excel as an individual and in a team environment.
