CivilGrid aggregates public and proprietary utility, geotechnical, environmental, and jurisdictional data. The consolidated information is sold via our collaborative SaaS mapping platform to engineers and developers who need it to make early-stage decisions on real estate and infrastructure projects. Real time data access reduces labor and project delays, accelerates decision making and reduces project risk. Collaborative features ensure faster information flow and decisioning inside and outside the organization and better project insight retention over time. Responsibilities As a small team, we all wear many hats and enjoy tackling new challenges. When it comes to skillset, we're seeking experienced individuals who can efficiently identify problems and devise solutions. You will be a foundational team member with the opportunity to work on all aspects of the application and shape the product future of CivilGrid. Joining at this stage, you will build core systems that will help us scale quickly, and benefit from tremendous upside as we grow. You will be responsible for: Work directly with customers onsite and remotely to understand their workflows, pain points, and needs Conduct user research, demos, and training sessions in the field Translate customer insights into product requirements and feature specifications Define and refine core product workflows based on direct customer feedback Analyze product usage data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement Work with with engineering to design to drive delivery of product capabilities that solve real customer problems Ensure successful rollout of new core product features Maintain a finger on the market pulse for inspiration and competitive positioning Act as a thought partner to the CEO defining and prioritizing the future of CivilGrid’s product Is this you? Experience working directly with customers in technical or field environments Strong customer discovery and user research skills - comfortable conducting onsite visits and field interviews Ability to translate customer insights into clear product requirements and specifications Comfortable in a greenfield environment and excited to shape core workflows and customer experiences Strong communication skills - verbal and written - with ability to work effectively across engineering, customers, and leadership Analytical mindset with ability to leverage usage data and feedback to drive product decisions Bonus: Past experience in product management, customer success, implementation or other customer facing functions Bonus: Experience in construction, infrastructure, GIS, or related technical industries Bonus: BS in Civil Engineering or similar Bonus: Prior startup or founder experience #Perks Fast-moving, collaborative, small team where you’ll own meaningful outcomes from Day 1.
