What You'll Do: - You will oversee the daily operations of the City’s information systems, ensuring optimal performance and security. - You will collaborate with department leaders to align IT initiatives with organizational goals. - You will lead and mentor a diverse team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. - You will manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to maximize value and service quality. - You will develop and implement policies and procedures that comply with city regulations and industry best practices. - You will drive digital transformation projects that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. - You will monitor emerging technologies and recommend strategic investments to keep the City at the forefront of IT advancements. - You will ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and manage risk mitigation efforts. What You Bring: - Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in IT management, preferably within the public sector. - Strong knowledge of information systems architecture, cybersecurity, and IT governance. - Proven leadership skills with experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams. - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. - Experience with budget management and strategic planning. - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in municipal or government IT environments. - Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, or ITIL. - Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and digital transformation frameworks. - Demonstrated success in leading large-scale IT infrastructure projects.
