Performs assessment of clinical and life issues for the patients of COH ATL. Provides professional nursing services in support of the physician, in the direct and indirect care of patients The successful candidate: Evaluates and assesses health issues presented by patients and their caregivers and relays pertinent issues to the physician for disposition. Plans, delivers, directs, coordinates and evaluates therapeutic interventions based on needs identified in the assessment process, and in cooperation with other clinical and clerical team members. Documents interventions provided. Provides patient/family education (in regard to disease process, side effects of treatment and health promotion) as well as support and reassurance, ensuring an informed decision is being made regarding the individuals therapeutic plan and documents according to department standard. Ensures compliance with hospital policies and accrediting agencies and according to best nursing practice. Participates in the development, review and updating of policies and procedures. Provides guidance for clinical and ancillary personnel assigned to their immediate team. Performs additional duties as assigned to assist in the continued operations of the department and the enterprise, and for the continued satisfaction of patients, their families, caregivers, and fellow stakeholders. Qualifications Your qualifications should include: Current Georgia State Registered Nurse License required BSN required or enrolled within 6 months of hire and BSN completed within three years from hire date. Current BLS required (Obtain AHA certificate within 30 days of hire) Current ACLS required (Obtain AHA certificate within 30 days of hire) City of Hope is an equal opportunity employer.
