We’re looking for a part-time Sports Events Logistics Assistant to support the setup, coordination, and wrap-up of a variety of sporting events. The purpose of this job within the organization is to provide support and assistance in the preparation, implementation, and post-event activities of various sporting events. This class works performs duties under the general supervision of the Athletics Program Coordinator according to set procedures. Must possess a valid driver’s license and must have and maintain a satisfactory driver’s record based on the City of Hampton’s criteria. Must successfully pass a background check related to this position prior to any offer of employment or promotion. Additional Requirements May require some local travel. Requires shift work to include nights, weekends and holidays. The incumbent may be considered “essential personnel” during city emergency situations, or at the direction of the City Manager or designee which may include long hours and unusual schedules.
