Job Overview Provides support to Sanitation, Street and Fleet Maintenance through administrative operations, secretarial and bookkeeping duties. Maintains workflow for three departments including coordination of reports, work assignments and providing up to date information to employees. Responsibilities • Compliance with the Code of Conduct and Ethics as outlined in the Employee Handbook. • Responsible for responding to public inquiries and complaints regarding sewer issues, road conditions, tree and leaf removal and other related problems. • Maintains records for departmental budgets including posting expenditures, preparing and recording purchase orders, running reports and reconciling figures with Finance. Assists in annual budget preparation. • Processes and compiles all monthly reports including gasoline and utilities reports as needed for Departments. • Prepares monthly billing and records for Citizens Energy Group and Center Grove Estates or their successors in interest, and prepares and records City fuel bills for all Departments. • Maintains Departmental files for employees including Service Records, Attendance Records and Payroll Records. • Monitors lift station alarm system and alerts respondents. • Routinely executes all other clerical tasks as needed. • Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements • Education: High School Diploma or GED. • Experience: Computer and clerical experience is required. • Skills and Abilities: Ability to operate computer, telephone system and other office equipment. Must possess excellent communication skills. Must possess basic analytical skills. • Physical: Must be able to sit for long period of time and be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
