As the City's newest Water Conservation Coordinator, you will actively support and uphold the City's stated mission and values. You will be in charge of educating the public regarding the city's water conservation efforts by assisting with water conservation ordinance enforcement and implementing water conservation incentive programs. You will pull customer water use data from customer billing database and provide basic analyses of water use trends. You will also assist with residential and commercial water consultations, annual reports, and other metrics tracking. You will also maintain inventory of promotional materials. Examples of the Work Performed EXAMPLES OF THE WORK PERFORMED • Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers • Tracks data on programs through annual reporting to inform and improve offerings and decision-making for programs • Expands community-wide education efforts on available services, incentives, and rebates for Water Conservation • Conduct research to remain informed of current best practices in water conservation, resources, technological innovations, and equity • Tracks and updates all Water Conservation goals, accomplishments, and outreach activities; requires the use of Microsoft Office Suite • Operates a motor vehicle to travel locally and regionally to attend conferences, meetings and events • Develops educational and promotional materials for water conservation • Assists in the coordination of public outreach and special events related to water conservation • Attends water consultations and assists with assessing residential and commercial fixtures for efficiency • Performs enforcement of the water conservation city ordinance (patrolling, interacting with the public, recording violations) • Assists with processing of paperwork for water conservation rebate programs • Picks up barrels for conversion into rainwater harvesting containers • Tables at community events to spread awareness of water conservation • Answers community inquiries by email and phone • Assists with Water Festival preparation • Related duties as assigned To review the full job description, please click here: Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • Two years of related college level course work • One year of project coordination experience in resource conservation, environmental science, or any related field • Experience in customer service or dealing with the public in a private or public setting • One year of computer experience, including Microsoft Office software • Or any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the above Minimum Requirements DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING • Background or experience in a Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) field • Experience in water conservation, sustainability, or another environmental field OTHER REQUIREMENTS • Must possess, or obtain upon employment, a valid Arizona driver's license • Regular attendance is an essential function of this job to ensure continuity Supplemental Information CURRENT COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and positive work environment.
