Project Engineer Location: Greenwood Village, CO CLP Engineering (CLPE) is seeking an experienced Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager to join our team of Engineering Professionals at our corporate location. Due to the nature of our work with the federal government, candidates must be a US Citizen. CLPE is a full-service electric utility solutions engineering firm with more than twenty years’ experience in electrical utility system ownership, upgrades, maintenance and operations through our sister company, City Light & Power. CLPE offers a wide range of power system engineering services to investor-owned, municipal, cooperative, government, industrial, and commercial customers. The Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager will assist with coordinating construction projects from initial planning to scheduling, resource allocation and project accounting, through project close out. This role acts as the Coordinator and Liaison to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. Duties & Responsibilities: • Assist with compiling and distributing reports on all project phases and financial performance. • Cultivate and maintain effective relations with the Client, project team, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel. • Support the Project Manager with developing the budget, schedule, and construction service plans for various elements of the project. • Travel to the project site as needed to monitor project activities. • Attend project meetings including pre-award, pre-construction, project progress and final close-out. • Work closely with project management team to identify and allocate resources, including personnel and materials. • Monitor progress, tracking timelines and construction activities according to schedule. • Participate in and monitor the procurement process, cost control, and change management systems. • Perform field inspections to verify quality and accuracy of construction. • Uphold the core safety values of the company and collaborate with the EH&S Director to effectively communicate and enforce safety standards. • Other duties as assigned. • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Qualifications & Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field highly preferred. Previous related work experience may substitute. • Two-four (2-4) years of experience with industrial/commercial building construction, materials, systems, field work or similar is required. • Previous experience with federal government contracting or federal construction activities is a plus. • Detail oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills. • Organized, Problem-Solver with ability to multitask. • Proficiency with MS Office, and other Microsoft Office products. • Must have excellent analytical, organizational, oral, and written communication skills. Travel: • 20% travel between jobsites outside CO. Other Requirements: • You must be a US citizen. • You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance. • A valid driver’s license required.
