Requires 4+ years administrative experience, supporting senior executives, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Job Description: • Manage and prioritize the VP’s calendar, schedules, and meetings • Coordinate the VP’s speaking engagements with the communications team • Plan and organize meetings, including agendas, locations, meeting technology, and logistics • Prepare meeting briefing documents, disseminate notes, and formulate post-meeting action-item lists • Build travel packs for international trips and large domestic events • Combine event information with coordinated travel logistics and customer/team requests • Act as an authorized proxy for communications and approvals • Answer general questions, refer routine matters, and follow up on completion • Resolve issues within specified policies and guidelines • Mentor administrative community members on problem solving • Determine when executive action is required and provide recommendations • Make in-depth global travel arrangements and optimize itineraries • Manage Cisco expenses and coordinate airline arrangements for available Global Services upgrades • Provide analytical support for executive special projects • Research issues, analyze problems, compile data, and prepare reports • Prepare and brief itineraries and accompany the VP at large corporate events such as GSX • Handle sensitive and confidential matters and materials • Support one VP of Sales and one Sr. Director of Engineering Requirements: • 4+ years’ experience in an administrative environment • Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting a principal at director level or above • Expert-level knowledge of Windows desktop applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Experience in calendar management, meeting planning, and travel coordination • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to connect with executive/senior staff and clients • Strong interpersonal skills and independent judgment • Utmost integrity and ability to balance strategic and tactical actions • Outstanding attention to detail • Ability to handle confidential information • Preferred: past work experience in the high-tech industry • Preferred: prior Cisco experience • Associates degree is preferred Benefits: • Medical, dental and vision insurance • 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution • Paid parental leave • Short- and long-term disability coverage • Basic life insurance • Grants of Cisco restricted stock units may be available, subject to eligibility • 10 paid holidays per full calendar year • 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees • 1 paid day off for employee’s birthday • Paid year-end holiday shutdown • 4 paid days off for personal wellness • 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year for non-exempt full-time employees • Flexible vacation time off program for eligible exempt employees, with no defined limit subject to availability and business limitations • 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter • Up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward • Additional paid time away for critical or emergency family issues • Optional 10 paid volunteer days per full calendar year • Annual bonuses for non-sales roles, subject to Cisco’s policies
