Full Description

Role Overview The Senior Manager, Finance Systems, is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the organization’s financial systems, with primary ownership of the ERP system (currently Workday). This role ensures that financial systems and processes support business objectives efficiently, maintain data integrity, and comply with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in finance systems management, ERP implementations, and process optimization. Key Responsibilities ERP Management & Optimization * Serve as the primary point of contact for all Workday financial modules, including configuration, maintenance, and system upgrades. * Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system capabilities, streamline processes, and improve reporting. * Partner with IT, Finance & Procurement to implement system integrations with other business applications. System Administration & Support * Oversee day-to-day finance systems operations, ensuring accuracy, stability, and availability. * Manage user access, security roles, and workflow approvals within Workday. * Provide technical guidance and support to finance and cross-functional teams. * Provide governance on metadata management such as GL accounts, spend categories and revenue categories.  * Build and test standard reports.  Project Management * Lead finance systems projects, including ERP upgrades, new module implementations, and automation initiatives. * Develop project plans, timelines, and documentation while ensuring alignment with business objectives. Process & Data Governance * Ensure finance processes are optimized, standardized, and documented in alignment with best practices. * Monitor data integrity, reporting accuracy, and compliance with internal controls and audit requirements. Stakeholder Collaboration * Collaborate with Finance, IT, and other business units to identify system requirements and deliver solutions that drive efficiency and value. * Provide training and guidance to finance team members on system functionality and reporting * Performs other related duties as assigned.  Skills & Competencies * Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field; MBA or relevant certification preferred. * Minimum 7 years of experience in finance systems management, ERP administration, or finance transformation roles. * Hands-on experience with Workday Financials is strongly preferred. * Strong project management skills, with experience leading ERP implementations or upgrades. * Solid understanding of finance processes, internal controls, and reporting requirements. Qualifications * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Strategic thinking and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams. * Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance. * Adaptability to evolving technology and business requirements. * Experience working in a startup environment is highly desirable.
