Role Overview  The Senior Manager, Data Platform is responsible for key Data solutions that serve CAA stakeholders and business partners. Their core role is to make data reliable, clean, secure, and accessible so that CAA business partners and other stakeholders can use it to generate insights and make data-driven decisions. This individual oversees the day-to-day operations, management, and support of critical business applications, ensuring a world-class service experience for our customers and business partners.  This individual has overall responsibility for establishing, managing, and maintaining strategic relationships with internal business functional leaders. In this role they also interact with other teams across the IT organization, to ensure solution/service alignment with our company objectives, architecture, security, and strategy. In addition, this individual collaborates with business leaders, end-users, outside vendors, contractors, and consultants to define and deliver technical solutions and services through the CAA Data Platform  The individual in this role will divide their time between day-to-day support of existing business solutions, while also playing a key project role in the design and delivery of new, transformational solutions. They will also build and manage a high-performing technical team to deliver all support, project and development goals for CAA’s Data Platform capabilities.  Key Responsibilities  * Works with business leaders and across the IT Team to prioritize and lead the delivery of new data-focused capabilities (support, enhancements, and projects) for specific areas of enterprise solutions across the organization. * Builds and maintains close partnerships with business leaders, IT teams, and other stakeholders as a key contributor to define solution objectives, elicit and prioritize changes, plan and architect project implementations, acquire and mobilize resources, assess service health and status, and identify and manage risks and issues, communicate progress, and maintains a platform / service roadmap. * Develops, formalizes, and sustains relationships with strategic IT vendors and internal stakeholders to drive proper alignment on data needs supporting business processes and operations.. * Elicits feedback, manages, and measures performance of the business value of the CAA Data Platform services. * Helps shape current and future state IT and business capabilities supported by the Data Platform. * Assists business process owners in obtaining approval for new projects in accordance with the Circular Action Alliance IT PMO governance process. * Manages a team of full-time employees, partner resources, contractors and consultants to achieve delivery goals. * Helps guide business process owners and key subject matter experts to estimate the budget, business resources and participants needed to achieve business goals. * Is responsible for ensuring that the IT Service Portfolio and Roadmap entries accurately reflect initiatives Data Platform solutions are required. * Delivers results by embracing job expectations; planning, monitoring, and assessing solution results; coaching, counseling, and providing feedback to employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. * Is able to effectively manage a distributed team (various sizes) of internal and external resources * Performs other related duties as assigned.  Skills & Competencies  * Experience managing delivery of technology projects spanning the entire software development lifecycle using Agile/DevOps practices and tools. * Experience with developing, coaching, and leading a geographically dispersed technical team. * Strong understanding of Data storage, processing, analysis concepts and tools. * Strong understanding of Master Data Management concepts and tools. * Experience working in a highly matrixed, global environment is a plus. Qualifications  * Bachelor’s degree in information systems, engineering, or IT related field or equivalent experience required. * Minimum of 12 years’ experience, of which 7 have been in building/supporting enterprise-grade data management solutions. * At least 4 years of experience managing technical resources including FTEs, partner and/or consulting resources * Demonstrated hands-on expertise with Azure Data services ecosystem including Data Factory, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, MS Fabric, SQL DB, Cosmos DB, Key Vault, Logic Apps, etc. * Azure experience is strongly preferred. Equivalent AWS or GCP experience will also be considered. * Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines, data orchestration frameworks and data integration frameworks/tools (ESB, APIs, etc.). * Experience with MDM platforms such as Reltio, Informatica MDM, or similar. * Solid understanding of relational/noSQL databases, data architecture, data modeling, and integration patterns. * Experience delivering data management solutions involving structured and semi-structured data. * Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data stewardship best practices. * Experience building AI/ML solutions is a strong plus. * Azure certification(s) or AWS, GCP equivalents are a strong plus * Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Driver's License with clean driving history.
