Build your future with us The IT Life Development team is seeking an application developer to develop new and maintain existing applications. The team supports all areas of the insurance process for The Cincinnati Life Insurance Company. Join a fast-paced team that is utilizing new technologies to bring enhanced capabilities to our life insurance operations. Work location and flexibility are subject to change based on evolving business needs, but generally, selected candidates who reside: within 50 miles of Headquarters may be expected to work in a hybrid capacity, combining remote and onsite work when business needs necessitate. more than 50 miles from Headquarters must be flexible and available to travel to Fairfield, OH, on an occasional basis for special events, training sessions, or key meetings. To ensure active engagement in meetings, it is mandatory for all IT associates to have cameras turned on for all interactions with other associates, customers, and stakeholders. Your camera must be on and positioned correctly to clearly show your face. This practice is crucial for maintaining connection and engagement, as non-verbal cues are essential for effective communication. Be ready to: use C#, SQL, SSIS, and SSRS to design, develop, and enhance new and existing application solutions work with MVC (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), Bootstrap, and SQL work on project teams throughout the software development life cycle understand and learn real time and batch solutions participate in code reviews provide on-call and after-hours support when required Be equipped with: Qualified candidates should have: 2+ years of experience with C#, SQL, SSIS, and SSRS 2+ years of experience with Microsoft .NET Web Technologies (ASP.NET MVC) 2+ years of experience with Angular for front-end development 2+ years of experience with JavaScript and CSS strong willingness and ability to learn new technologies excellent analytical and problem-solving skills ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment strong written and verbal communication skills commitment to continuous learning and professional growth Ideal candidates also have experience with: experience with RESTful API development and integration knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies experience with Git or other version control systems exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices .Net Cobol XSLT, XML creating and maintaining unit tests Life Insurance Underwriting engines LifePro experience Bring education or experience from: bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Development, or equivalent experience required.
