Cigna Healthcare is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Billing & Coding Specialist to join our team in a remote capacity. As a key member of the Cigna healthcare team, you will play an essential role in ensuring accurate and timely coding, billing, and claims processing for our members. Key Responsibilities: • * Medical Coding: Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to patient diagnoses, procedures, and services in compliance with healthcare regulations and payer requirements. • * Billing & Claims Submission: Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance carriers, ensuring all required documentation and codes are accurate to minimize claim rejections and denials. • * Claims Resolution: Review and resolve denied or rejected claims by investigating discrepancies, appealing decisions, and working directly with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and members. • * Patient Billing: Generate patient statements, ensuring that patients are accurately billed for services rendered.
