To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What you'll be doing Key Responsibilities General Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and repairs on building structures, fixtures, and systems. Carpentry: Complete minor carpentry tasks such as repairing doors, windows, cabinets, and furniture. Electrical: Conduct minor electrical repairs, including replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures. HVAC: Assist with basic HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance, such as filter replacement and system checks. Preventive Maintenance: Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal facility operation. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure the facility meets regulatory requirements. Record Keeping: Utilize computer systems to log maintenance activities, track inventory, and report issues. Collaboration: Work with other team members and departments to address facility needs efficiently. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests and facility emergencies. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred. Proven experience in building maintenance, with skills in carpentry, minor electrical, and HVAC repairs. Basic computer knowledge (e.g., email, maintenance software, inventory tracking). Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must own a set of basic tools required for maintenance tasks. Reliable transportation to and from work. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication and organizational abilities. Working Conditions Full-time position with occasional overtime as required. Work may involve exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions. Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, and bending. At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $50,000-$55,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
