Summary: This position is responsible for assisting with management of design and coordination for new and renovated space on all campuses, to support furniture, fixtures, equipment, or signage scope of work; may lead moderately complex and/or small-scale design projects. Interacts with outside design consultants, equipment planners, other vendors and parties as needed and hospital personnel to assure a functional, aesthetically pleasing and cost effective design. Position may require experience with AutoCad / Revit and management of Health System drawings. Responsibilities: • Manage the activities of project consultants including, but not limited to architects, contractors, equipment planners and engineers for moderately complex design projects. • Daily communication with department directors and other employees to discuss requirements, plans for design, construction and commissioning; development and presentation of written and verbal communication material appropriate to audience. • Administer project management information and document control system; administer contracts with design consultants and construction contractors; develop further detail for scope, budget, and design development schedule. • Develops healthy relationships with clients to ensure projects are properly coordinated, communicated and carried out. Works to minimize disruption of ongoing operations. • Assist in developing project budget, schedule and scope for approved projects in coordination with user departments; direct scope/fee revisions as they develop. • Development of planning, construction documents, schedules, contracts, and estimates for projects. • Review and research facility related technical and regulatory issues. • Other duties as assigned WORK EXPERIENCE • At least 5 years related experience in specific field of expertise for role Required • Experience in healthcare environment Required EDUCATION • Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or other pertinent field Required • Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience Preferred LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS • A+/Comp IA certification (for IT specific duties) Preferred A Place Where You Belong We put our people first.
