Summary: Responsible for planning, developing and executing sustainability and energy conservation initiatives across Children's Health System of Texas (CHST); promotes environmentally and economically sustainable practices related to the services provided by CHST. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the CHST Sustainability Council • Maintain relationships with other healthcare entities and City of Dallas • Develop and implement environmentally responsible cost savings initiatives • Collect and report data to show progress on sustainability programs • Identify areas for improvement and take steps to promote organizational sustainability • Collaborates with internal departments to seek waste stream reductions and sustainability measures • Develop and deliver interactive employee sustainability and waste stream training/information WORK EXPERIENCE • At least 3 years experience managing sustainability or energy programs or equivalent Required • At least 2 years experience working in a healthcare environment Preferred EDUCATION • Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Required • Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience Preferred LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS • Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification Preferred • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Preferred A Place Where You Belong We put our people first.
