Role and Responsibilities of Forklift Driver: Safely loading and unloading merchandise from trucks or shipping containers using the forklift • Maneuver powered industrial trucks and material handling equipment to manage the reception, conveyance, and positioning of items. • Shift stored inventory to diverse locations using a forklift and relevant machinery. • Perform warehouse activities such as marking items, replenishing stock, assembling packages, and loading/unloading trucks. • Organize and fulfill orders to optimize customer delivery processes for efficiency and accuracy. • Authorize correct shipping paperwork for domestic transportation. • Observe safety regulations and protocols while engaging with equipment and materials. Required Skills and Experience of Forklift Driver: • To be eligible, one must have reached the mature age of 18 years. • Enthusiastic about acquiring skills in operating PIT tools such as Cherry Picker/Order Picker, High Reach, Movexx, Pallet Jack, and Walkie Rider. • Expected to walk a distance of 2 miles per shift while working in a warehouse setting. • Can autonomously manage to hoist items of up to 50 pounds regularly. • Has the strength to lift objects weighing a maximum of 70 pounds individually, employing a team lift for items that surpass this weight limit. • Competence in sustaining a standing posture, exerting force, pulling, moving items, carrying objects, bending, squatting, and kneeling as necessary during the duration of the work shift. • Ability to move vertically using stairs when applicable.
