The company's success is driven by the ingenuity and commitment of approximately 64;700 employees who operate across the energy spectrum working in countries around the world.The Human Resources Development Program: The program has been in existence for over thirty years and has offered a unique career opportunity to highly qualified professionals. The purpose of the development program is to provide a breadth of exposure to the human resources function and to different aspects of the company's operations. The program is a structured development program comprised of four six-month rotational assignments within various corporate and operating company units. Out of four rotations; typically three rotations are completed in the United States and one rotation is completed outside of the United States. The majority of the domestic assignments are completed in the San Francisco Bay Area; CA or Houston; TX. Normally at least one domestic rotation is completed outside the San Francisco Bay Area or Houston. Additional domestic locations may include Southern California; Louisiana; Pennsylvania and Mississippi. International assignments typically take place in Angola; Kuwait; Indonesia; Singapore; Thailand; the Philippines or Nigeria. The rotational assignments are strategically matched with a participant based on: Business needsParticipants' competency development needsParticipants' interestsSenior human resources leaders are involved in participants' development while they are in the program and after the program has been completed. While each program participant's experience is unique; participants are typically exposed to: Projects and planningAnalyticsBusiness partner support (human resources generalist)Total remuneration (compensation and benefits)Employee relationsLabor relationsExpatriate workforceTalent management and organizational capability Qualifications: We look for candidates who are enrolled in a Master of Human Resources/Labor Relations or an M.B.A. program with a concentration in human resources. We require that candidates possess the following characteristics: Leadership potentialSolid business acumen and analytical skillsCommitment to a career in human resourcesOpenness to geographic mobility; both domestically and internationally We prefer three to five years of prior work experience.
