## Key Role Overview This role provides supply chain support for capital projects and operations with direct accountability for OEM equipment category strategies, sourcing, contracting, and supplier management. The position partners closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Project Controls, Construction and Maintenance teams to develop and execute project- and category-based contract and procurement strategies across the equipment lifecycle. It is a subject-matter expert position supporting Cheniere's Project Development & Execution Process (PDEP) and is a non - DOT role. ## What are the Key Responsibilities? - Communicate across business stakeholders to align Contract & Procurement Strategy and sourcing strategy to business needs. - Influence senior leaders to gain alignment and access to appropriate resources. - Integrate SCM resources into the development and delivery of Contract & Procurement (C&P) strategies and maintain Capital Project C&P Strategy papers. - Project manage and report SCM activities tied to the capital project portfolio. - Develop and own relationships with Engineering, Construction, Operations business partners and suppliers to align needs, capability, performance and best practices. - Maintain ownership of category-based contract portfolios and develop project/business cost models aligning supplier costs to project budgets. - Ensure business partner compliance with company ethics, compliance, and delegated authorities. - Develop and implement category strategies that cover lifecycle from capital projects through operations and maintain strategy maturity and supplier performance. - Perform supplier pre-qualification/qualification, build RFPs using total cost models, evaluate bids, and prepare supplier award documentation. - Draft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute various commercial contract structures and ensure timely delivery of quality contracts. - Maintain post-award awareness of supplier activity and hand over contracts to engineering/construction and operations for post-award contract management. - Ensure contractual records and correspondence are maintained and logged into appropriate systems. - Work with Operations, Capital Projects and SCM Delivery to develop purchases of operational spares and inventory plans and support creation of CPAs and BPAs and transactional purchases. - Support innovation and change introduction considering internal and external market challenges. ## What are the Required Qualifications? - Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education, experience, and certifications may be considered in lieu of degree. - Lead Specialist: Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant, progressive Supply Chain Management experience; Advisor: minimum of ten (10+) years. - Experience supporting SCM for large capital projects and thorough understanding of capital project stage gate processes. - Experience with owner furnished equipment sourcing, contracting, contract novation, and purchasing of capital equipment and spares. - Hands-on experience with sourcing, negotiation of material and service contract provisions, commercial terms, and contract management. - Hands-on experience with source-to-contract and purchase-to-pay systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, GEP, Coupa, JDE). - Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills. - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, advanced MS Office skills, and proficiency in ERP or similar procurement and contract management systems. ## What are the Preferred Qualifications? - Experience in LNG, electric utility, pipeline or oil & gas sectors. - Advanced knowledge of category management strategies, inventory management, and purchasing. - Prior experience with OEM equipment categories (pumps, valves, compressors, etc.), engineering services, EPC contracting, and project management spend categories. - Familiarity with central contract management systems and advanced procurement tooling. ## Compensation & Benefits - Salary range: Not specified in the posting. - Key benefits include a comprehensive compensation and benefits program, annual stock-grant program, competitive wellness offerings, and performance incentives that reward results. - Office perks noted include free parking or a metro ticket for the Houston office and modern collaborative office facilities. ## Additional Information - Primary work location is the Houston, TX corporate office (downtown) with dedicated desk space; occasional travel to Sabine Pass and Corpus Christi sites may be required. - Sites governed by FTZ regulations may include drug and alcohol testing; role is also subject to applicable federal or company-required testing. - Job is performed in a typical office environment, may require work outside normal hours, occasional remote/home work, and periodic travel as business requires. - Direct reports: None.
