Lead multi-site operations that keep our customers moving Picture your week: you start in Chicago ensuring safe railcar unloading and on‑time truck dispatches, midweek you’re in Cleveland walking a pre-audit with your EHS partner, and you wrap up in Niagara Falls (Canada) reviewing a CAPEX milestone before checking on the Whiting, IN transfer facility. Along the way, you’re aligning production and shipping plans with Sales & Marketing, reporting out on KPIs, and closing out corrective actions from audits. That’s the rhythm of our Regional Operations Manager, Customer Service Centers. Primary Location: Home based in Chicago, IL or Cleveland, OH Reports to: Toledo, OH Plant Manager Compensation: $110,000 - $120,000.00 base salary + bonus, + benefits (salaried, exempt) Scope and impact • Own day-to-day operations, maintenance, and CAPEX across three CSCs (Chicago, IL; Cleveland, OH; Niagara Falls, Canada) plus the Whiting, IN Transfer Facility. • Champion a zero‑injury mindset, environmental compliance, and product quality while delivering against performance targets and budgets. • Direct and develop your team handling railcar unloading, truck loading, and maintenance; partner closely with Logistics, Commercial, and EHS to meet safety and customer commitments. What you’ll own (time allocation) • Operations, maintenance, and CAPEX — 35% • Provide direction, coaching, and clear priorities for all facility activities. • Authorize spend, update procedures, and ensure training is effective. • Oversee nonstandard maintenance and manage CAPEX from scope through execution. • Advance continuous improvement for value creation and cost reduction. • EHS leadership — 20% • Serve as site management representative for RC14001. • Ensure timely reporting, investigation, and corrective action for EHS incidents. • Drive on‑time closure of IMS action items. • Quality and audits — 15% • Represent sites during regulatory, customer, and ISO 9001 audits. • Lead or resource quality investigations and corrective actions. • Business alignment — 10% • Participate in planning meetings with Sales & Marketing. • Maintain a living production and shipping plan in step with business needs. • Interface with customers as needed. • Performance communication — 10% • Prepare and present periodic updates on production, spending, reliability, EHS, and CAPEX. • Planning — 10% • Build annual production plans, maintenance outage plans, capital plans, and period spending plans. Qualifications • 7–10 years in a related operations leadership role; chemical or heavy industrial manufacturing experience required. • Union plant exposure preferred. • Based at one of the three CSCs with ability to travel ~50% to other facilities. • Proven leader with strong problem‑solving, interpersonal, and written/oral communication skills. • Self‑starter who operates effectively with autonomy.
