JOB TITLE: Power Platform Developer BUSINESS UNIT: GHSC-PSM JOB LOCATION: Washington, DC or Remote REPORTS TO: GSC Operational Excellence Director General Summary Be part of a high-impact team driving operational excellence through digital transformations. We are seeking a skilled Power Platform Developer to help design and implement solutions that automate workflows, simplify tasks with AI, and support continuous improvement across business functions. Your solutions will empower teams, reduce inefficiencies, and enable smarter decision-making across the organization. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Assist with building and maintaining applications using Large Language Models (LLMs), low-code, and pro-code tools. • Develop process automations using Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, and RPA as needed. • Interpret relationships between data, design databases, and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models to support business applications. • Implement integrations using Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), HTTP calls, and data exchange formats (JSON, XML). • Support the integration and operationalization of AI components within business workflows, including the use of pre-built OCR models such as AI Builder OCR and Azure Document Intelligence, and workflows that use LLM prompts to process files and data, and conduct basic validation and performance checks. • Participate in Agile delivery practices including rapid prototyping and iterative development based on user feedback. • Support analysis of business requirements and create functional and technical design documents for tool sustainability and troubleshooting. • Contribute to demonstrating return on investment from automations and AI enhancements by measuring the impact of deployed solutions (e.g., cycle time reductions, cost savings). • Perform other duties or tasks as necessary. Qualifications The requirements below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required or desired to perform this job successfully. Essential Technical Qualifications (Core Capabilities) • Strong understanding of JSON and data structures. • Demonstrated knowledge of database design, data modeling, data relationships, and data normalization. • Hands-on experience with PowerApps, Power Automate, PowerBI, and/or Azure Logic Apps. • Working knowledge of Azure Function Apps or cloud-based application components. • Experience with low-code canvas Power Apps or similar platforms. • Experience with at least one programming language (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or React). • Experience working with SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL, and Excel. • Ability to build workflows that leverage LLM prompts for processing files and data (RAG familiarity a plus). • Familiarity with Agile concepts such as iterative delivery and prototyping. • Understanding of API integrations and HTTP-based services. • Familiarity with OCR technologies such as AI Builder OCR or Azure Document Intelligence. Preferred Technical Qualifications • Proficiency in Generative AI, NLP, LLM tuning, agents, GPT functions, prompt engineering, agentic workflows. • Knowledge of classical ML algorithms, deep learning architectures, and modern AI techniques. • Experience coding with LLMs. • Basic understanding of authentication and authorization concepts (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, Microsoft Entra ID). • Exposure to creating and hosting business applications in Azure. • Experience deploying AI-enabled solutions into development and production environments, following established governance, security, and monitoring practices. • Exposure to XML and secure file transfer protocols (SFTP). • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma concepts and tools, or exposure to process and product improvement concepts (cycle time reduction, KPIs, 80/20 prioritization). Other Requirements • Bachelor's degree. • Regular availability during normal business hours. • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
