Chemlock Nutrition is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Domestic Logistics & Customer Service Specialist to support the movement of materials across North America, ensure exceptional customer experience, and provide internal administrative support that keeps our operations running smoothly. This role plays a critical part in order execution, customer communication, domestic freight coordination, and accuracy in our systems. Approximately 80 percent of the role focuses on logistics, customer service, and order entry, with the remaining 20 percent supporting internal administrative functions that reinforce culture, organization, and team cohesion. Specific Job Responsibilities: Domestic Logistics & Order Execution (Primary – ~50–60%) • Coordinate domestic transportation for customer orders, ensuring timely, cost-effective movement of goods from warehouses to customers. • Act as day-to-day liaison with carriers, brokers, and warehousing partners to schedule pickups, verify shipment details, and troubleshoot issues. • Execute order entry with precision, ensuring accuracy of POs, pricing, shipping details, and fulfillment requirements. • Provide customers proactive and timely updates regarding order status, transit progress, expected delivery, and exceptions. • Maintain accurate documentation across sales orders, shipping records, and internal systems. • Monitor inventory levels and support internal inventory management, including reconciliation, availability checks, and allocation. • Resolve logistics issues quickly and professionally, escalating when appropriate. Customer Service & Account Support (~25–30%) • Serve as a primary point of contact for day-to-day customer inquiries related to orders, logistics, documentation, and scheduling. • Build and maintain strong customer relationships grounded in reliability, clarity, and responsiveness. • Support account managers with administrative tasks tied to customer experience (documents, confirmations, follow-ups, system maintenance). • Uphold Chemlock’s service standards by ensuring high-quality communication and operational follow-through. Internal Administration & Culture Support (~20%) • Support Chemlock’s cultural and administrative cadence, including: – Coordinating Core Values/North Star rewards tracking – Assisting with Continuing Education credit engagement and tracking – Helping organize internal team activities (e.g., quarterly Ops team events) – Managing greeting cards, office supplies, apparel, and light office logistics • Assist with other administrative tasks that contribute to operational excellence and workplace cohesion. • Serve as a flexible internal resource for small projects and process-support work that benefits the broader operations team. Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree required – preferably in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. • Experience in logistics coordination, customer service, or order execution within a fast-paced environment. • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and favorable contract terms • Ability to think big picture to help drive next steps without a nudge • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach – velocity paired with accuracy is crucial • Proficiency in using procurement software systems and MS Office applications • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and build effective relationships with vendors • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently • Strong comfort with math and numbers to leverage decision making • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance standards We work hard, and fast, but we also like to have fun with team outings, weekly trivia and company-sponsored weekly lunch.
