ACCOUNT DIRECTOR OVERVIEW: The Account Director is responsible for the development of ongoing client business relationships. The Account Director may lead and manage a large piece or multiple pieces of smaller business and associated client engagements. The Account Director is responsible for overall client satisfaction, internal team satisfaction, quality of service, financial health of the business while identifying new opportunities, and developing and growing account team. RESPONSIBILITIES: Build and maintain strong client relationships with the ability to have tough conversations when needed in an effective and respectful way that protects relationship. Lead the development of yearly planning, campaigns, projects, and overall health of the business. Supports Account Leadership by fostering innovative solutions and reinforcing quality standards across all work. Responsible for the growth and development of the account team. Mentoring, encouraging, and empowering/challenging them to grow and deliver against client and agency expectations. This includes providing 6 month and yearly reviews with the team and ensuring everyone is working towards goals and receiving timely and consistent feedback. Responsible for the profitability and financial health of the account, as well creative + strategic + media output. Responsible for ensuring team and work are getting right internal recognition and partnering with Communications lead on PR/awards and Chemistry social team when necessary. Effective at managing up and down to ensure full team is aware of business updates, key initiatives and any challenges that need to be addressed. Account Leadership should consistently be informed of client health, team health and any key watch outs to ensure line of sight for Senior/Executive level clients. EXPECTATIONS: Strong client + agency team satisfaction and relationships. Agency profitability and overall client health. Ensuring all agency output from all members of the team is meeting client and Chemistry standards. Successfully growing and empowering the account team to meet Chemistry role expectations and achieve their yearly career goals. Achievement of short-term and long-term client partnership goals. Identify new opportunities for growth and proactive help push clients on new ways of thinking that will dive their business. You are seen as a leader around Chemistry. Chemistry leadership trusts and respects your guidance on your businesses and how you help lead by example within Chemistry. Properly manages up to Account Leadership on the business, the team, the work while also identifying areas of opportunity or watchouts.
