Chatten-Brown Law Group is a boutique environmental law firm seeking an experienced Paralegal/Office Manager. Our work focuses on enforcing environmental protection laws and representing nonprofits and community groups statewide, primarily under the California Environmental Quality Act, to safeguard California’s natural resources and health. Who We Are Looking For A proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced setting, takes initiative to anticipate and address needs with minimal direction, and excels in both legal and administrative tasks. Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills are essential, and candidates should enjoy working collaboratively in a small team dedicated to environmental protection. Key Responsibilities ● Manage all aspects of court filings, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission ● Prepare and format briefs and motions for attorney review; assemble administrative records; draft basic pleadings and court filings ● Maintain firm calendar, legal deadlines, and internal filing systems ● Oversee client billing, invoicing, and financial recordkeeping ● Handle accounts payable and receivable ● Manage employee onboarding and personnel records ● Administer payroll ● Identify and implement improvements in legal and administrative workflows Qualifications ● College degree required ● Minimum 5 years’ paralegal experience ● Strong organizational and time management skills, with proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks ● Excellent written and verbal communication ● Extremely organized, with high attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Application Question(s): • Do you have at least 5 years of paralegal experience? • Do you have a bachelor's degree?
