Job Description Location: Chicago, IL • Remote Job Title: GUI & Applied AI Engineer with Industrial Machinery Data and Industrial Machinery Interfacing Role Summary: Seeking a GUI & Applied AI Engineer to build the operator-facing interface and intelligent workflow layer for a robotics platform, making complex automation simple for non-technical users. Key Responsibilities • Develop operator UI for Industrial Systems Operations (robots or similar) • Build intuitive, low-training interfaces for industrial use • Integrate UI with backend vision, planning, and automation systems • Create AI-assisted features (auto-parameters, defect detection, smart suggestions) • Implement real-time path and system-status visualization Required Skills • UI development with Real-time Operating Systems (QT, VxWorks or similar) encompassing web-based frameworks • Python or full-stack engineering experience is a strong plus • Experience integrating UI with backend systems/APIs • Solid UX instincts for technical workflows alongside solid JavaScript, HTML, and other front-end tools Nice to Have • Designing for non-technical users and machinery operators • Exposure to robotics, vision, or real-time systems Compensation: Very Competitive Salary, Bonus and Benefits Company Description: Very Stable, U.S.-based manufacturing company with customers in various industries.
