Job Title – Digital Product Manager – Money Movement (Payments) Location: San Jose, CA– Hybrid (1 day/week onsite) - Open to candidates anywhere in CA with ~monthly travel Note — no C2C or sponsorship available. Role Overview This role owns all digital money movement experiences across mobile and online banking. That includes payments, transfers, bill pay, P2P, RTP, wires, mobile deposit, and more. It’s a true product role, not just execution: • ~70% strategy (roadmaps, vision, member needs, vendor decisions) • ~30% execution (user stories, sprint planning, backlog grooming) You’ll act as: • Product Owner • Payments subject-matter expert • Bridge between business, tech, ops, vendors, and risk Core Responsibilities Product Strategy & Ownership • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for all money movement products: • Internal/external transfers • Bill Pay • P2P & real-time payments • Wires • Mobile deposit capture • Credit card & loan payments • Define and maintain product roadmaps aligned with: • Member needs • Industry trends • Competitive landscape • Regulatory requirements • Partner with leadership on new product launches, enhancements, and lifecycle marketing. Execution & Agile Delivery • Act as Product Owner within Agile teams. • Write clear, detailed user stories so engineering can size accurately. • Manage and prioritize backlogs; negotiate sprint commitments. • Support dev teams during sprints by clarifying requirements and resolving issues. • Use JIRA & Confluence for delivery tracking and documentation. Data, UX & Member Experience • Analyze member usage data to identify friction and opportunities. • Define migration plans when rolling out new features. • Work with UX designers to: • Define research needs • Shape design concepts • Improve member experience • Use data insights to influence marketing campaigns and adoption strategies. Cross-Functional & Vendor Collaboration • Partner closely with: • IT / Engineering • Operations • Branches & Member Contact Center • Risk, Legal & Compliance • Marketing • Identify opportunities to streamline operations and reduce friction. • Own vendor relationships (payments platforms, fintech partners). Required Qualifications Experience • 6+ years in money movement products (payments, transfers, bill pay, P2P, RTP, wires, mobile deposit) • 4+ years in digital banking or financial services • 3+ years working in Agile environments • Experience with JIRA & Confluence (preferred) • Analytics tools experience (preferred) Skills • Strong member-first mindset • Excellent communication and stakeholder management • Highly analytical and data-driven • Comfortable owning ambiguity and solving root problems • Adaptable and growth-oriented Education & Certifications • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • MBA (nice to have) • Certified Scrum Product Owner (preferred)
