Social Media & Community Outreach Intern (Unpaid) Organization: Charm City Impact Location: Baltimore, MD/ Washington D.C. (Remote Time Commitment: 10–15 hours/week Duration: Spring/Summer/Fall (flexible) Compensation: Unpaid; academic credit may be available if applicable About Charm City Impact Charm City Impact is a nonprofit organization based in Baltimore City that supports grassroots, community-led organizations through equitable fiscal sponsorship and capacity-building services. Our work helps community leaders focus on impact while we support the infrastructure behind the scenes. Position Overview Charm City Impact is seeking a motivated and creative intern to support our social media presence and community outreach efforts. This role is ideal for someone interested in nonprofit communications, community engagement, social justice, or grassroots organizing. Key Responsibilities • Assist with creating and scheduling social media content (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) • Support community outreach efforts, including promoting events, workshops, and opportunities • Help highlight partner organizations, fiscal sponsor projects, and community leaders • Assist with drafting captions, flyers, newsletters, or outreach messages • Track engagement and suggest ideas to grow our audience • Support occasional events or tabling Qualifications • Interest in nonprofit work, community impact, or social justice • Strong written communication skills • Familiarity with social media platforms • Reliable, organized, and proactive • Experience with Canva or similar tools is a plus (not required) What You’ll Gain • Hands-on experience with a growing nonprofit organization • Exposure to fiscal sponsorship, nonprofit operations, and community-based work • Mentorship from nonprofit leadership • Resume-building experience and professional references • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in Baltimore communities Please make sure you email and phone number are up to date on your resume.
