We are looking for a self-motivated professional to pursue new defined contribution plan sales opportunities in the Mid-Market segment ($150Million-$1Billion). As a Vice President of Sales, this individual will be responsible for prospecting, managing and winning business in a designated territory, and promoting cross-engagement opportunities. This individual will partner with colleagues from other segments and Consultant Relations professionals within their territory to develop relationships with key plan sponsors, investment advisors, and retirement plan consultants. What you will be responsible for: • Identify, pursue and sell to retirement plan prospects with an emphasis on Mid-Market ($150Million-$1Billion plans) plans • Work within a team structure to identify, develop and maintain relationships with key prospects, advisors, and consultants • Develop and manage sales opportunity pipeline • Play lead role in managing the sales process for all assigned sales opportunities • Provide all required and requested documentation for active sales opportunities • Collaborate with internal business partners in pursuit of new business • Coach and mentor selling team members for optimum presentation and sales effectiveness • Negotiate services with consultants and plan sponsors • Understand and communicate the breadth of Schwab services • Identify leads for other Schwab business lines (i.e. Stock Plan Services) • Achieve monthly territory development activity goals • Maintain current and accurate data in Salesforce • Provide timely updates to Sales management and Retirement Plan Services leadership upon request What you have To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
