Veterinary Receptionist We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and customer-service–focused Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will help create a welcoming and efficient experience for pets and their families. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to be part of a dedicated veterinary team. Key Responsibilities • Greet clients and pets warmly upon arrival. • Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and manage daily calendars. • Check clients in and out, process payments, and review invoices. • Maintain accurate patient and client records in the practice’s management system. • Respond to client questions regarding services, procedures, and routine care (within scope). • Assist with prescription refill requests and medical record handling. • Work closely with doctors and technicians to support smooth clinic flow. • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk environment. • Handle sensitive or emotional situations with empathy and professionalism. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Customer service experience required; veterinary or medical front-desk experience preferred. • Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor. • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment. • Comfortable working around animals of all sizes and temperaments. • Proficient computer and typing skills; experience with veterinary software a plus. • Reliable, team-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality. Work Environment • Client-facing, fast-paced environment. • Frequent phone calls and in-person interactions. • Exposure to animals, noises, and occasional emergency situations. • Requires sitting, standing, and moving throughout the day.
