The Role: We’re looking for a Sr. Product Designer to join Chalkboard and help us craft intuitive, high-impact experiences that make sports gaming feel seamless, social, and built for real fans. In this role, you’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Growth, and Leadership, playing a meaningful part in shaping how users engage with Chalkboard every single day. Your Game Plan: Own the end-to-end design process across key product surfaces, from early discovery and wire-framing to polished UI and shipped features. Turn complex gaming flows into simple, intuitive experiences. Partner cross-functionally to rapidly test, iterate, and refine features that drive engagement, retention, and revenue. Level Up Our Game: Lead product discovery alongside Product and Engineering to deeply understand user behavior, motivations, and friction points. Translate insights into thoughtful UX flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that elevate the Chalkboard experience. Continuously refine and evolve our design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and speed as we grow. Design for mobile-first experiences with a strong focus on clarity, usability, and performance. Play Like a Captain: Take ownership of major product initiatives and drive them from concept to launch with minimal oversight. Present work clearly and confidently, grounding decisions in user needs, business impact, and data. Balance speed and craft — knowing when to go deep and when to ship and iterate. Raise the bar for product quality and user experience across the company. Find a Way to Win: Simplify complex sports gaming mechanics into intuitive, frictionless user journeys. Design experiments in partnership with Growth to optimize onboarding, engagement loops, and monetization surfaces. Leverage user research, data, and testing to inform decisions — not just instinct. Thrive in ambiguity and adapt quickly as product priorities evolve. We Are Better Together: Collaborate daily with engineers to ensure pixel-perfect execution and smooth implementation. Partner with Growth and Marketing to ensure cohesive brand and in-product experiences. Incorporate feedback openly and foster a culture of constructive design critique. Contribute to a strong, transparent design culture rooted in teamwork and accountability. What You Bring to the Team: Proven experience designing consumer-facing digital products (mobile experience strongly preferred). Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product thinking — from UX strategy to polished UI. Fluency in modern design tools (e.g., Figma). Experience working cross-functionally with Product and Engineering in fast-paced environments. Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture, and visual hierarchy. Ability to translate complex systems into simple, intuitive user flows. Pro Points: Experience designing for gaming, sports, betting, DFS, or other high-engagement consumer products. Experience working at an early-stage or high-growth startup. Familiarity with experimentation frameworks and A/B testing. Experience contributing to or building scalable design systems.
