This role is critical in ensuring compliance with state and local tax regulations while supporting strategic business initiatives. You will lead tax planning, reporting, and audits related to sales and use tax, working closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors. Key Responsibilities • Oversee all aspects of sales and use tax compliance, including preparation, filing, and payment of returns. • Manage tax audits and inquiries from state and local jurisdictions. • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize risk and optimize tax positions. • Maintain and update tax systems and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency. • Collaborate with finance, procurement, and operations teams to ensure proper tax treatment on transactions. • Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on the organization. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced tax certification preferred. • 5+ years of experience in sales and use tax, preferably in a multi-state environment. • Strong knowledge of state and local tax laws and regulations. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. • Experience with tax software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
