Cost Analyst $75,000 to $95,000 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Analyst to support our finance and operations teams by analyzing and managing product and operational costs. This role will play a key part in tracking manufacturing costs, evaluating cost efficiencies, and providing data-driven insights to support pricing, budgeting, and profitability decisions. Key Responsibilities • Analyze and report on product and manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead • Develop and maintain standard cost models and assist in cost rollups • Monitor cost variances and partner with operations to investigate and resolve discrepancies • Support the month-end close process with inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS), and journal entries • Assist in preparing cost forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, waste, and cost trends • Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and procurement teams to optimize cost performance • Ensure accurate data in ERP systems related to bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and inventory • Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • 2–4 years of experience in cost analysis, cost accounting, or financial analysis (manufacturing experience preferred) • Strong understanding of standard costing, BOMs, and variance analysis • Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, NetSuite) • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders • Knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles
