Candidates must have a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and a minimum of 6 years of leadership experience in cybersecurity. ITIL certification is also required, with preferred experience in federal cybersecurity initiatives.
Program Manager Overview cFocus Software is seeking a highly experienced and certified Program Manager to lead enterprise-level cybersecurity projects in support of federal agency initiatives. The Program Manager will oversee program execution, ensure alignment with agency goals, and drive excellence in cybersecurity management, compliance, and delivery. This position requires a strong background in leadership, project management, and cybersecurity operations. This position is full-time and may require on-site support at federal agency locations in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Some telework flexibility may be available based on mission needs. Responsibilities The Program Manager shall perform duties that include, but are not limited to: Provide leadership and direction to ensure successful execution of all program objectives, deliverables, and milestones. Develop, implement, and manage project plans, schedules, and resources to ensure on-time and within-scope delivery. Serve as the primary point of contact for the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and government leadership. Oversee the coordination and integration of all cybersecurity-related projects under the contract. Ensure compliance with applicable federal cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and standards. Manage risk, cost, and performance metrics across multiple concurrent projects. Prepare and deliver regular reports, briefings, and updates to senior government officials. Lead teams in applying best practices in project management, IT service delivery, and cybersecurity governance. Ensure all work aligns with the contract’s Performance Work Statement (PWS) and agency mission requirements. Required Qualifications Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (or equivalent). A minimum of 6 years of leadership experience in cybersecurity; OR 8 years of documented experience in agency/enterprise-level cybersecurity project management. ITIL certification. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading federal or DHS cybersecurity initiatives. Demonstrated success managing large, complex IT or cybersecurity contracts. Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Experience with NIST, FISMA, and other federal cybersecurity compliance frameworks. Ability to manage diverse technical teams and collaborate across multiple stakeholders. Security Clearance Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or higher-level security clearance as required by the agency.
