Candidates should have a degree in a related field and at least 2 years of professional experience in relevant areas. A BICSI ITS Installer Level 1 certification is also required.
cFocus Software seeks a Physical Infrastructure Specialist to join our program supporting the Navy. This position is onsite in Dahlgren, VA. This position requires active Secret clearance. Qualifications: A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or other related discipline is preferred. 2+ years of professional experience in relation to electrical wiring, generator power, fiber optic installation, LAN test equipment (e.g., OTDR) and testing of networks and electrical systems. This position is required to have a BICSI ITS (Information Technology Systems) Installer Level 1 certification. Duties: Plan, design, and oversee the implementation of physical infrastructure systems to meet mission and program requirements. Conduct assessments of facilities, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure operational readiness and compliance with the PWS. Coordinate upgrades, repairs, and maintenance of physical infrastructure assets, including power, HVAC, cabling, and security systems. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all infrastructure activities. Support the development of infrastructure modernization strategies and technology refresh initiatives. Collaborate with engineers, program managers, and logistics staff to align infrastructure planning with mission objectives. Prepare infrastructure-related reports, documentation, and technical drawings for stakeholders and leadership. Assist in space planning, equipment installation, and physical layout optimization of mission facilities. Manage vendor and contractor activities related to infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to schedules and specifications. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for infrastructure maintenance and operations. Support risk assessments, continuity planning, and disaster recovery efforts related to physical infrastructure. Monitor and evaluate infrastructure system performance, recommending improvements as necessary. Provide input on budget planning and cost estimates for infrastructure projects and maintenance activities. Stay current on emerging technologies, tools, and best practices for physical infrastructure management.
