Job Summary The Account Manager for Sales key responsibilities include developing new prospects and interacting with packaging customers to increase sales for FIBCs (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers). This is a field sales position that requires interacting with management, customer service and quality/technical departments. This position is for the United States and requires English. Applicant cannot have a non-compete agreement for FIBCs in place at time of hire. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop new business prospects through cold calling and other methods. - Develop and execute sales strategy for key target accounts and new customers that support company strategy and plans. - Coordinate test-filling trials of sample bags at customers’ sites and evaluate bag performance. - Provide consultation, guidance and direction to customer’s packaging requirements. - Develop long-term multi-level relationships with customers. - Maintain sales forecast, margin objectives and budgets. - Exceed sales goals and margin targets QUALIFICATIONS: - REQUIREMENT of previous industrial packaging sales experience (FIBC previous sales experience preferred). - Requires either a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years outside sales experience or sufficient experience in lieu of degree. - Self-motivated, results oriented person. - Strong aptitude to learn and communicate technical details, including assisting in developing the product specification to meet customers’ requirements. - Strong communication and presentation skills. - Strong negotiating skills. - Strong computer, reporting and organization skills. - Travel 65-75% of time.
