Century West, a premier Northwest civil engineering company, is looking for an experienced business development professional to lead client development and sales efforts for our municipal team. The Municipal Business Development Manager will collaborate with municipal project managers in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho to establish and nurture client relationships that result in repeat sales. They will work closely with the Marketing team to prepare proposal capture plans, including writing approaches and, if required, developing cost estimates. This position reports to Century West’s Director of Business Development. Benefits: * 2 to 4 weeks of vacation depending on experience * 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked * 8 paid holidays * 3 days paid bereavement leave, as needed * 401k retirement account match * Health (PPO and HSA options), dental, and vision insurance fully covered for full-time employees and available for family and dependents * Life and disability insurance * Employee assistance program * Bonus program * Professional training and development opportunities * Reimbursement for continuing education * Flexible schedule Duties & Responsibilities: * Communicates with existing clients to secure new projects * Works with the Director of Business Development, project managers, and the Marketing team to identify and pursue new clients that align with the company’s geographic and service areas * Researches upcoming project opportunities with target clients * Identifies funding opportunities for existing and potential clients and assists with funding applications * Leads business development meetings, including but not limited to internal coordination efforts, project pre-positioning meetings, and meetings with clients * Maintains tracking system for upcoming projects * Supports project managers and the Marketing team with the preparation of proposal content and completes proposal reviews for quality and completeness * Works with existing and future project managers to develop business development skills * Sets and tracks municipal sales goals, including reviewing rolling marketing Qualifications: * 10+ years of A/E/C business development experience, including a minimum of five years in a business development leadership role * Proven experience growing sales within an A/E/C company * Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, business administration, or a related discipline An Equal Opportunity Employer – All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected status.
