Trade Compliance Coordinator Location: Austin, TX About the Role The Trade Compliance Coordinator supports import/export activities, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and efficient logistics operations. This role works closely with Sales, Purchasing, and Supply Chain teams to maintain proper documentation and assist with audits and trade programs. Key Responsibilities Trade Compliance & Documentation • Assist with import/export compliance inquiries and audits • Support Sales and Purchasing with trade documentation and logistics coordination • Review and maintain import/export documents (invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin) • Conduct restricted party screening and country of origin determinations under supervision • Stay current with U.S. Customs and international trade regulations Shipment Coordination • Track and trace shipments, resolving delivery or documentation issues • Maintain shipment logs and prepare basic trade operation reports Preferential Trade Agreements (PTA) • Request and validate supplier certificates of origin • Manage annual PTA solicitations and spreadsheets • Support preparation of customer-facing PTA certificates CTPAT & Security Programs • Assist with CTPAT training and documentation • Support on-site validations and related scorecard updates Broker & Forwarder Oversight • Coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure service quality and compliance Legal & Audit Support • Provide documentation for external legal inquiries and internal/external audits Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or Business Administration • 3+ years of experience in customs or international trade (automotive industry preferred) • Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and trade practices • Strong communication and organizational skills • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and trade documentation systems • Certifications such as CILT, CCS, or U.S. Customs Broker License are a plus
