Central Transport is an industry leading Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) transportation carrier. We are one of the nation’s largest LTL carries and have experienced significant growth over the last several years. As we continue to expand our network, we are seeking quality individuals to fill openings at our Chicago (Hillside) terminal. Positions Available: Full-Time Dock Workers Needed Shift Time: (2am-12:30 pm/Full-Time) or (4pm- 2:30 am/Full Time) Starting Pay: $23.50/hour for Full-Time As a dock worker your responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to: • Loading, unloading and staging skids and customer freight. • Building loads (using freight tools) to ready multiple trailers for departure. • Ensure accurate freight inventory w/ help of Handheld scanning technology • Coordinate correct and efficient loading of trailers. • Recouping/Repairing pallets/freight as needed • Dock Platform/Apron/Trailer/Yard Cleanliness Job Requirements: • Must have previous sit-down fork lift experience • The ability to perform freight handling duties with a manual pallet jack/fork lift • The ability to follow instructions, either while working independently, or as part of a team • A stable/consistent work history • Reliable Transportation • Willingness/Ability to pass a drug screen , physical and background check Our facility is located at: 200 North Mannheim Rd, Hillside, IL 60162 (We are behind the Social Security Administration) Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $23.50 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Paid training • Vision insurance Ability to Commute: • Hillside, IL 60162 (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: • Hillside, IL 60162: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person
