Position Title: Machine Operator Reporting to: Production Manager Department: Production Central Power Systems & Services is a privately held company with deep roots going back to 1954. We are looking for a Machine Operator to help support that mission. JOB SUMMARY This manufacturing position is focused on our Generator Manufacturing Division. The ideal candidate will have experience working with precision measuring instruments and operating machinery. As a machine operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, responsible for operating machinery to cut and shape materials according to specifications provided in shop drawings. RESPONSIBILITIES • Set up and operate machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc. • Operate machinery to cut and shape materials according to shop drawings • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency • Inspect finished products for accuracy and adherence to quality standards • Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance • Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment • To perform other duties as required from time to time as requested Benefits • Competitive Pay • Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance • 401k with company match • Paid Time Off • Training & Professional Development • Positive and productive work environment QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or equivalent • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to minimize material waste by best practice utilization • Commitment to maintaining equipment in a safe, clean and good working order • Machine operating experience in a production environment • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite • Experience maintaining a workshop area with a focus on safety • Experience with the care and use of workshop tools and equipment WORK CONDITIONS Physical Demands/Work Environment: This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling and climbing stairs. It also often requires pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting 50+ lbs. and working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels.
