Central Penn College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Billing and Coding Instructor to join our School of Health Sciences. This is a part-time adjunct professor position. This position is vital to the success of our program, providing comprehensive online instruction to prepare students for rewarding careers. Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality instruction. • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and learning activities for online students. • Prepare students to pass the CPC exam by the Academy of Professional Coders. • Assess student learning through various methods and provide constructive feedback. • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress. • Complete course Level of Outcomes Assessment. • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for all students. • Collaborate with colleagues within the School of Health Sciences to ensure program quality and student success. Qualifications: • Current CPC (AAPC) certification is required. • Associates degree in related field. • In-depth knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-PCS coding and conventions and DRG overview, and familiarity with Practice Management Software. • Experience in current coding. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. • Ability to effectively teach in an online format. • Commitment to student success and academic excellence.
