Reference ID : 166164 Location : Chesapeake, VA Category : None Job Type : Part Time Description Summary The Sunday Morning Nursery Attendant provides safe, attentive, and nurturing care for infants and toddlers during worship services and church events. This role is essential in supporting families and creating a welcoming, comforting environment for our youngest children. This position guarantees a minimum of 3 hours of pay each week. Must be available to work 9:15-11:45a. Duties Provide warm, attentive care for children ages 0–3, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Greet families, assist with check-in/check-out procedures, and communicate clearly with parents and guardians. Supervise play, offer age-appropriate toys and activities, and maintain a calm, comforting atmosphere. Follow all nursery policies, including diapering, soothing, and sanitation procedures. Clean and disinfect toys, surfaces, and the nursery space before and after each session. Report any concerns, incidents, or needs promptly to the Nursery Coordinator or Children’s Ministry leadership. Maintain appropriate ratios and abide by all church safety policies. Requirements Must be at least 16 years old. Experience working with infants and toddlers preferred but not required. Ability to remain patient, calm, and nurturing with young children. Reliable, punctual, and committed to scheduled Sundays. Able to lift and carry young children when needed. Willing to complete a background check and any required trainings. It is our mission for all children enrolled in the program to know they are loved by God exactly as they are. We lovingly accept children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Centerville Baptist Children's Program offers preschool, kindergarten, and childcare for these ages. Every child is special, loved, and cared for by our dedicated and experienced staff.
