CMS is seeking a Strategic Communications Lead to drive agency-wide, audience-centered communications strategy in support of CMS public affairs priorities. Responsibilities • Develop and implement agency-wide communications strategies to increase awareness of CMS healthcare programs • Serve as a primary point of contact across CMS for strategic campaigns and initiatives • Lead short- and long-term communications planning and project management efforts • Conduct public relations activities to strengthen CMS’s reputation as a trusted information source • Provide leadership and technical direction to communications teams • Ensure CMS staff are aligned with communications processes and standards Qualifications Applicants must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-13, including: • Developing communications strategies to increase public awareness of healthcare programs • Establishing relationships to support strategic communications objectives • Preparing communications plans, presentations, and materials to convey healthcare program goals Required Skills • Important: Resume limited to 2 pages • Time-in-Grade restrictions apply • All required documents must be submitted through USAJOBS Preferred Skills Apply directly through USAJOBS by March 11, 2026.
