• About the Center for Quantum Governance The Center for Quantum Governance (CQG) is a pioneering initiative dedicated to the intersection of quantum technologies, security, regulation, and policy. Our work spans anticipatory governance, risk analysis, cryptographic transition planning, and global coordination strategies. We collaborate with government institutions, private-sector leaders, academic researchers, and international organizations to shape responsible and resilient frameworks for the quantum era. • Position Description We are seeking a Research Associate (Volunteer) in Quantum Governance to join the Center for Quantum Governance in the LATAM region. This role involves weekly activities such as conducting research on quantum governance and emerging regulatory frameworks, collaborating with subject-matter experts to develop reports and publications, analyzing regional and global policy landscapes, and supporting initiatives that strengthen the quantum governance ecosystem in Latin America and internationally. This is a full-time volunteer position with fully remote work. A potential cost-support arrangement may be discussed after onboarding. • Qualifications Technical Knowledge Understanding (basic or advanced) of quantum technologies, including fundamentals of quantum computing and its economic, political, and societal implications. Communication Skills Ability to express complex ideas clearly in written and verbal form, enabling effective multidisciplinary collaboration. Teamwork and Collaboration Experience working with diverse groups in complex research or policy-driven projects. Preferred Profile Degree in technology, social sciences, or related fields; proficiency in English and Spanish; familiarity with public-policy environments is considered a strong advantage.
