Lead and manage the commercial sales team to meet member acquisition and revenue growth targets, develop sales strategies, collaborate cross-functionally, and manage budgets.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 6+ years sales experience including 3+ years managing sales teams, Salesforce proficiency, strong sales process skills, and preferably cybersecurity technical selling experience.
The Director of Commercial Sales is part of the Sales and Business Services department, which resides on the Sales team and reports to the Vice President of Sales. As our Director of Commercial Sales, you will partner with other cybersecurity team members to promote the CIS mission and help support our growth. You will meet our Member acquisition and revenue growth objectives, including managing the Member Sales team and developing key growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans. Duties will include hitting monthly, quarterly, and annual targets, building relationships, and understanding member trends. What You'll Do: Own and achieve or exceed monthly sales targets Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the membership base Supervise, mentor, and coach sales team members Research, identify and implement new methods to increase CIS membership and revenue for commercial new sales Work closely with Operations, Marketing, and Security Best Practice (SBP) teams on various projects (website, collateral, ads, videos, technical roadmap, prospect feedback, CRM, marketing platform, etc.) to strengthen the sales pipeline and maximize sales promotions Work closely with leadership to develop and manage annual sales budget Prepare and present quarterly business review to Sales and cross-functional leadership Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned What You'll Need: Bachelor's Degree in technical or business discipline* 6+ years of sales experience 3+ years’ sales management experience leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring sales teams with proven successful results 3+ years’ experience using Salesforce and Microsoft Office Proven ability to drive the sales process from lead to closed won Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions with proven ability to meet sales targets in a competitive landscape Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services and position appropriately Strong technical aptitude and the ability to communicate advanced technical concepts Must be authorized to work in the United States It's a Plus if You Have: Demonstrated understanding of business practices and fundamental understanding of project management methodology Technical selling experience in cybersecurity Experience using sales engagement platforms such as Salesloft, Outreach, and Groove *Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
