Through its network of trained behavior technicians, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and researchers, CARD develops and implements quality, comprehensive, and individualized treatment programs that lead to success. Remote Location - TX Austin, Texas 78701 POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Sr. System Engineer, you will support enterprise IT infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments (AWS). This role covers a broad range of responsibilities from infrastructure administration and escalated end-user support to automation, monitoring, patching, and identity management. You will serve as a critical resource supporting daily operational needs, while also participating in strategic initiatives and projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform system administration tasks including server management, patching (AutoMox), and monitoring (PRTG, LanSweeper, etc.) Administer and maintain VMware vSphere 8 environments and TrueNAS Core storage systems Support AWS cloud environments with connectivity to on-prem infrastructure Provide high-level support for escalated tickets beyond L1/L2 help desk capabilities Manage and maintain Active Directory and Okta, including directory sync and IAM best practices Support and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint) and its integration with Okta and AD Maintain and enhance PowerShell scripts to automate routine administrative tasks Monitor backup systems and ensure successful job completion and compliance Maintain documentation and serve as a point of knowledge for systems processes and configurations Participate in infrastructure-related projects such as image creation, Windows 11 deployment, and server refresh initiatives REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in related technical field 7+ years of experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Solid experience with VMware vSphere, Windows Server (2012–2022), and Active Directory Working knowledge of TrueNAS Core or similar storage platforms Experience with Okta, including integration with AD and M365 Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams) Experience managing AWS environments in production settings Hands-on expertise in PowerShell scripting Familiarity with patching and backup tools (AutoMox, Veeam, etc.) Strong understanding of ticketing systems and ITIL-based operations Excellent troubleshooting skills and a collaborative, can-do attitude AutoMox experience preferred PRTG, LanSweeper experience preferred SQL Server administration experience preferred SharePoint permission structures experience preferred Azure AD / Entra experience preferred Imaging tools (e.g., PDQ, SCCM) experience preferred Cisco switching/firewall basics experience preferred Windows 11 rollout and policy management experience preferred WORK ENVIRONMENT: Includes a typical remote office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues. Occasional travel to Plano, TX data center required.
