Position Purpose: Plays a pivotal role in ensuring optimal engagement of community-based providers (Federally Qualified Health Center, Rural Health Center, Health Center Program Look-Alikes, Indian Health Service, etc.) and associations (Primary Care Association, Health Center Controlled Network, etc.) on a national scale. Reporting to the Chief Business Development Officer, this position requires a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of provider priorities, performance, and engagement. This role will be responsible for developing, executing, and tracking initiatives aimed at enhancing community-based provider engagement with Centene across key indicators such as provider satisfaction, clinical innovation, and partnerships tailored to fit the needs of individual providers. Develop and direct the execution of key strategic initiatives to support local and developing markets, recommending opportunities for increasing business value. Lead the development including large-scale transformation projects that elevate serving the needs of the mutual members Centene and community-based providers share. Lead relationship with national community-based provider associations. Leverage our size and scale to produce strategies and solutions that are based on partnership, to solve community-based provider challenges. Develop strategies, processes and tools that drive higher levels of engagement. Provide expert advice on RFP writing and strategy around community-based providers. Collaborate with health plan leaders to facilitate system-wide implementations and ensure continuous improvement from pilot to full-scale implementation. Partner with local market and health equity teams to ensure providers achieve high-quality results consistent with social determinants of health standards and other performance metrics. Work with market leadership to manage and develop relationships, providing high-touch and responsive servicing of critical community-based providers and their associations. Analyze industry trends and new emerging areas in community-based health to maintain cutting-edge services and capitalize on opportunities. Prepare meaningful, actionable reports and develop routine communication of status via project plans, dashboards, presentations, or other tools as appropriate. Collaborate with operational areas and appropriate vendors on initiatives supporting provider performance and financial efficiencies, including provider education to better understand and accomplish our goals. Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field required. 8+ years of business development, network development, provider partnerships or equivalent experience required. In-depth knowledge of community-based providers, state and federal policy, network development, and performance improvement required. Demonstrated track record of successfully leading cross-functional provider engagement teams and driving results in a dynamic environment required. Previous management experience includes responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of staff. Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position. Pay Range: $223,200.00 - $422,900.00 per year Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
