Position Purpose: Provides (remote and on-site) technical support to ensure the proper and effective use of information systems and improve the delivery of care. Assists users with system navigation, troubleshooting and patient monitoring issues. Collaborates with leaders across functions and disciplines to plan, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of systems and services. • Investigates all assigned advanced incidents related to clinical information systems to identify root causes so that fixes can be developed to address them. • Uses application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports. • Works closely with the business stakeholders to identify on-going systems enhancements and to fully realize the business potential of their current applications to improve business performance. • Contributes to the definition and execution of preventative maintenance schedules for clinical systems and services so that preventable system failures are minimized. • Contributes to the definition and execution of a continuous improvement schedule so that business operations can benefit from improved service. • Provides effective systems management and guidance to end-users to ensure the best usage of their technology. • Works with the engagement team and the business to understand the business' requirements. • Identifies how best to meet the business requirements - whether through extending their use through configuration or even the development of the applications. • Coordinates the implementation of the solution either by directly undertaking the configurations required, or by handing over the solution to the Technical Services team to undertake the required application development. • Follows the latest IT Service Management governance framework and methodologies. • Supports the identification and management of risks. • Looks for new ideas/opportunities to help make improvements and suggests these to the appropriate individual(s). • Undertakes documentation of key processes as necessary for the technical support. • Performs other duties as assigned. • Complies with all policies and standards. Education/Experience: Requires a High School diploma or GED Requires 2 - 4 years of related experience. May require vocational or technical education in addition to prior work experience. Vocation or technical education may include additional on-the-job training or continuous learning education Technical Skills: • One or more of the following skills are desired. • Experience with Other: application and database technologies (with expertise in at least one technical area) and how they support specific business functions and provide commercial benefits. • System administration, network administration, and systems Integration. • Infrastructure monitoring tools or service management tools. • Experience with Other: eithe.r • Delivering application development (systems analysis, design, build, test) services throughout the project lifecycle and handing them over to the support team or • Serving as a 2nd / 3rd line application support and problem management touchpoint. • Knowledge of Other: file transfer, batch, workload automation systems. Soft Skills: • Beginner - Demonstrated customer service skills • Beginner - Demonstrated interpersonal/verbal communication skills Pay Range: $26.50 - $47.59 per hour Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.
